When is the best time to visit Vendée for camping?
June to early September offers the best weather. July-August are peak season (warmest, busiest). June and September offer great weather with fewer crowds and lower prices.
Which Vendée campsite area is best for families?
Saint-Jean-de-Monts is the most popular with UK families - huge beach, lots of campsites, excellent cycling, and good facilities. Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez is also excellent with water parks nearby.
How long is the transfer from Nantes Airport?
Most Vendée campsites are 45 minutes to 1h30 from Nantes Airport. Saint-Gilles is closest (55 min), La Tranche is furthest (1h30). We offer fixed-price transfers to all areas.
Is Puy du Fou worth visiting?
Absolutely! Puy du Fou is rated the world's best theme park. It's unlike anything else - stunning historical shows, no rollercoasters, amazing for all ages. Allow a full day, or stay overnight for the evening shows.
Can we cycle safely in Vendée?
Yes! Vendée has 1,800km of dedicated cycle paths (pistes cyclables), many completely separate from roads. The terrain is flat, perfect for families. Bike hire is available at most campsites.
