How does Morbihan compare to Vendée?
Morbihan has more Brittany/Celtic character, more history (megaliths), and more rugged coastline. It's slightly cooler, less 'resort-y', and appeals to those seeking culture and nature alongside beaches.
Is Morbihan suitable for families?
Yes, though it's perhaps better for families who want variety beyond beach and pool. The standing stones, boat trips, medieval towns and island hopping provide plenty of adventure for curious kids.
How long from Nantes Airport to Carnac?
About 1h30 by private transfer. Morbihan has the longest transfer times of our three regions, but the scenery en route is lovely.
What's special about the Gulf of Morbihan?
The Gulf is a sheltered inland sea with around 40 islands. You can take boat trips, kayak, sail, or just enjoy the calm waters. It's completely different from the open Atlantic.
Can we visit Belle-Île from our campsite?
Yes! Belle-Île is a 45-min ferry from Quiberon. It's a fantastic day trip - dramatic cliffs, pretty villages, beautiful beaches. We can drive you to the ferry port.
